‘‘The Coach House’’ Projecting Brick Bays

Progress at our Grade ll listed Coach House project. A axonometric diagram describes conceptually, the design drawing from a series of brick pillars framing apertures, supporting a lightweight stepped flat roof that references traditional soldier course brickwork and introductions with projecting brick bays, giving depth to the facade.

This intervention and playfulness with the bricks serve as the perfect bridge between eras, complementing the existing structure while subtly distinguishing the new extension. Creating depth and character, modern lines that speak to contemporary design. Introducing a fresh aspect to the extension.

While using traditional reclaimed London Stock brick to match existing, this thoughtful play on materials will demonstrate how modern extensions can respect and enhance the character of older homes, crafting a cohesive narrative in brick and mortar.

We look forward to sharing more updates about this transformative project in the coming months.
